After a collision that left Anne Heche's vehicle "engulfed" in flames, the actress from the United States was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Video footage and photos taken by US media outlet TMZ show Ms Heche driving a Mini Cooper blue. Later, it was pictured badly damaged on the spot.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the vehicle hit a two-story home and "erupted in heavy fire."
According to an LAFD report, it took 65 minutes for 59 firefighters to reach the structure and extinguish all flames.
"One female adult was found in the vehicle. She was taken by LAFD Paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition."
