Casey Coates was the ex-wife of veteran actor Ted Danson. Her ex-husband is well-known for his roles in many TV series and movies.
They had two children together, one biological, and one adopted, through their marriage.
After Ted's divorce in 1975 from Randy Danson, the former couple began dating. Ted said that it was "love at first sight" for him in a interview with Closer Weekly.
He was initially adamant that he could not have more than one relationship, but he changed his mind when Casey first introduced him to him.
Ted Danson and Casey Coates were married for two years before they became parents. They welcomed their first child Kate Danson on 24th December 1979.
Later, the couple decided to adopt a child. They welcomed home another daughter, Alexis Danon.
After 16 years of marriage, they divorced in 1993. Ted was required to pay Casey $30 million in alimony.
